Colin Caton comes to deliver guest training session. Bala Town manager visits MIFA to deliver guest training session.

Today we were visited by Colin Caton, manager of Welsh Premier League League team Bala Town. Colin managed his side to the qualifying stages of the Europa League, narrowly being beaten in injury time by Luxembourg side FC Differdange 03. 

It was great for our boys to be visited by a manager with such experience, as he knows what it takes to be a good player. Colin put on a 90 minute training session for our squad, and they loved it!

Following the training session Colin held a Q&A session so the lads had the chance to ask questions they had prepared. Colin stressed to the players that you need a fantastic work ethic and must work hard every day to make it professional.

The main talking point was how Colin guided Bala Town to the Europa League qualifiers last season, losing 3-1 in 42 degree heat away in Luxembourg, then at home being seconds away from victory only to concede a 96th minute goal to go out the competition. 

Our lads thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we hope Colin was impressed with our set up, with a massive thank you from our staff and players we hope he returns soon!
