MIFA put in a strong performance to come out on top against Accrington Stanley's Youth Squad Goals from Alessandro, Zakaria and Isaac gave MIFA a splendid win at Accrington Stanley. This marked another excellent performance against a strong opposition.
The players at MIFA were handed a fantastic opportunity to play away at a Proffesional Youth Academy. Accrington Stanley are a club that are on the rise, currently sitting just outside the Play-Off positions in the English Football League 1. The lads knew that they had a difficult task ahead of them but could not have responded to that pressure in a better way.
It was a slow start for MIFA who conceded the first goal of the game, but the reaction to this saw Alessandro grab 4 very well-taken goals, with Zakaria and Isaac also getting on the scoresheet. As an overall team performance, everyone put a shift and worked for eachother, which was most pleasing for coaches, Pedro, Giulio and Jos.
This will go down as one of the great games for MIFA and the lads certainly stepped up when they were called upon. They can now enjoy, what was, a well deserved win.
