Game day! The morning started with beaming sunshine, as the whole team went to Vilamoura marina for a relaxing excursion. I think the trip out of the facilities was beneficial for both players and staff, to get a break from the resort and experience a bit of Portuguese cultural. All of the team stayed together, shopping, relaxing on the beach and getting refreshment in cafes overlooking the marina. In the afternoon the whole team went into game mood, having a couple of hours nap and then straight out onto the pitch for a warm up. The game was played under much hotter conditions than the previous game, under the 27C afternoon sun. The game was fought well, with MIFA playing some fantastic football, however on the day Quarteirense FC were the better team, winning 2 – 1. MIFA had many chances and dominated possession wise for majority of the game, many things to work on for the next day and the following season, but positive to see so much encouragement and hard work from the team on and off the pitch. Josh Ramsden scored the MIFA goal within the first half and Kacper Przybylski was named man of the match for his excellent attitude and effort throughout the whole 90 minutes.
