Match Report: MIFA vs SSV 8-0!

Mifa vs SSV

MIFA started the game very strong, making plenty of chances without finding the net. The breakthrough came in the 15th minute of the game when a clever one-two from Saryas Mirazi to Moa Hamid gave the team the opening goal, finished coolly by Moa.

The second goal came shortly after when George King slipped a great ball through for Saryas Mirazi to run onto and finish instinctively. Salford has spells in the first half where they kept the ball well, but never really looked like boating MIFA's solid back line. The match was dominated in midfield by MIFA's young and talented pairing of Jetmir Bushaj and George King, who worked hard both forwards and backwards. After 30 minutes the game was 3-0 after Noah Adebayo drilled a fine ball to the back post to set up Saryas Mirazi for his second. Moa Hamid then added a 4th soon after when a clever pass from Jetmir gave Moa the one-on-on opportunity, which he took very well. The half finished at 5-0 when Macky Ebiogbe went on a solo run to glide past 4 players and slip the ball past the opposition goalie.

The second half of the match saw more of the same from MIFA, lots of chances for the very bright and enthusiastic team. Alex Lowe and Melvin Gambanga, MIFA's two full backs saw plenty of the ball and made lots of attacking runs and overlaps beyond their wingers. Macky soon had his 2nd and MIFA's 6th when he played a nice one-two with Moa and slotted home. Nwame Perez created the 7th after beating his man with a neat trick, delivered the ball low into the box for Moa to latch onto and finish well. Salford never gave up during the game and tried to force their way into the game by being more direct, but that was upended by the MIFA keeper Adam Mansour, claiming all arrival challenges and loose balls. The game was completely out of Salford's sight when Macky beat the offside trap and finished his chance coolly. It was a great game and great performance from the young group.
