Rudra is an Indian player who has recently returned to MIFA for the second time. Chris Mason, Academy Manager said “during his first programme with us Rudra was selected for the under 15 Indian National Team”. This comes as India are currently looking to strengthen their team in time for the Under 17 World Cup in 2017. A new website has been launched giving Indian players who are located across the world the chance to present themselves to be scouted for the Indian team. Rudra says he enjoys training in England at MIFA as he finds training is “more technical in England” contrasted to training in India being “more physical”. He also loves being in a new country, a new place with a new passion for football. Rudra is “a young and promising footballer who shows great potential at the academy playing several age groups above” says Chris. Rudra finds he benefits greatly from this as he says he is now more “physical than players his age”. While Rudra is with us he will also be starting at school to continue his education whilst still training at MIFA several days each week and is also enjoying living with a friendly host family.
